Far from the gentle, innocent garden bloom of the same name, Rose in Wonderland is an ultra-magnified super rose that is earthy, but not of this earth. A radiant phantasmagorical flower that grows in the green wilds, it is a dizzying hybrid of the roses thorny, earthy prickliness and its smooth, luminous, deceptively innocent beauty. Created by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, it is an astonishing reconstruction of rose that magnifies each facet of the iconic flower. The roses thorny green stem is interpreted in the fragrances verdant structure of blackcurrant buds at the top, geranium essence in the heart and vetiver in the dry-down. The scent also changes from a delicate, luminous rose dew accord at the top to the sombre and voluptuous honey tobacco accents of the unique Centifolia Rose in the heart, before base notes of velvety white musk and crystal amber round out the fragrances fatal floral character.
